Leaks from Showers
All water from a shower is designed to go down the drain and out of the property. Any other place and water causes damage. There’s a brown yellow stain on the kitchen ceiling, water underneath the carpet in the bedroom, a smell from the back of the shower, skirting board starting to rot. These are all consequences of a leak. Some thing is wrong in the drainage system.
Replacing Silicon Seals
Good Silicone Seals are essential for waterproofing your shower or bath. They are applied between the tray and the tiles, and the door and the tiles. Silicone seals are flexible and allow for sealing between the tray and tiles. Without Silicone the water flows straight on to the bathroom floor. Our Silicone is 100% waterproof and resistant to mildew and mould.
Replacing Grout
Grout is essential to the look and character of all showers and bath. Over time it will get old and have a worn, discoloured possibly black mould on it, or brown stains from rusting metal. Or there may be holes in the grout where water can get between the tiles. Well this is where Grout & Seal can remove the old grout and re grout between the files with new grout. The result is always amazing. Immediately the whole area will look brand new.
Tile Repair
We provide a tile repair service. A tile might have come loose. There may have a hole in the grout and water got through the hole to the plasterboard. The plasterboard falls apart once its wet. Now there is no place for the tile to stick to. So we can replace the plasterboard behind and refit the tile and regrout.

The Grout Life Cycle
New Grout looks great, it makes a bathroom look brand new and so clean.
After a few years, many showers, shampoo, conditioners, oils, soaps, fake tan, hair dye, cleaning agents limescale the grout will get discoloured, crack and little by little fall out. There will be holes in the grout. Black lines will appear and mould can start to grow in these cracks.
When the damage has gone too far you will have to consider regrouting. The good new is the results are worth the effort. A freshly regrouted bathroom can look brand new when its done right.
Shower water goes out the drain into the main drain, instead of the ceiling downstairs, the neighbouring room, the carpet in the hallway. This protects the rest of your propert from water damage.
The Consequences of bad grout and bad silicone.
Its Ugly. It just doesn’t look good. If it was a hotel room you would be complaining.
It doesn’t work. The shower tray, the shower door, the tiles, the waste pipe, the silicone sealant, the grout are all part of a closed controlled system designed to drain the water down to the outlet drain, to the waste pipe and out to the main sewage. If one breaks then the whole system breaks.
The wooden support frame holding the bath in place gets wet from a continuous flow it will get rotten. Once its rotten the whole shower bath structure is now unstable.
